Iris was a very talented artist whose work I admired when my career began. Her abstract expressionist style garnered many awards at prestigious exhibitions on Long Island, NY in the 1980’s. She died too young. But her work lives on.
Fortunately, I was able to purchase a piece of her art: a dynamic little pastel on paper. As a Tribute to Iris, I employed the same color pattern of her abstract pastel over a manhole cover pattern on my canvas.
